If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services. ROCS operates tuition-free, accredited online public schools in partnership with local school districts across multiple states. These Terms apply to all users of our website and services regardless of the state in which you reside.
The website (www.rocs.org) is provided for your personal and educational use. You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the site. Unauthorized use of this website, including but not limited to attempts to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its related systems, is strictly prohibited.
ROCS provides tuition-free online public education through partnerships with accredited school districts. Our services include but are not limited to:
By enrolling and using these services, you agree to comply with all applicable guidelines, policies, and codes of conduct set forth by ROCS, our partner school districts, and our service providers. Services are available to eligible students residing in states where ROCS currently operates.
By providing your mobile phone number and enrolling in ROCS, you consent to receive recurring automated SMS text messages from Rocket School Management, LLC d/b/a ROCS regarding enrollment, academic updates, school communications, and program announcements.
Our mobile messaging program is operated in compliance with the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices and applicable carrier guidelines. Mobile phone numbers collected for messaging purposes will not be shared with third parties for marketing or commercial use.
To access certain services, you may be required to register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@rocs.org if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization. ROCS will never ask for your password via email or text message.
All content and materials available on www.rocs.org, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the property of Rocket School Management, LLC d/b/a ROCS or our licensed content suppliers and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our express written permission.
ROCS integrates with and relies on third-party service providers to deliver our educational programs. These providers include Acellus, PowerSchool, Google Workspace for Education, GoGuardian, Twilio, SMS Magic, and Freshdesk. We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their performance, availability, or any damages they may cause. Your use of these services is subject to each provider's own terms and conditions and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
ROCS is committed to protecting the privacy of student educational records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and all applicable state privacy laws. Student records are maintained with strict confidentiality. Parents and eligible students retain the rights afforded to them under FERPA including the right to inspect, review, and request amendments to educational records. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ROCS is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our website or services. We strive to provide accurate and reliable information; however, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability of our website or services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect changes in our services, operations, or applicable law. PLEASE READ THIS ARBITRATION AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. IT REQUIRES YOU TO ARBITRATE DISPUTES WITH US, LIMITS THE MANNER IN WHICH YOU CAN SEEK RELIEF, AND INCLUDES A WAIVER OF CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL RIGHTS.
Most concerns can be resolved quickly by contacting ROCS Customer Support at (866) 491-7627 or support@rocs.org. You and we agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith informal discussion (the "Informal Dispute Resolution Process"). The statute of limitations and any applicable filing deadlines will be tolled during this process. If we are unable to resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days of initiation, the dispute will proceed to binding arbitration or small claims court as described below.
WE (YOU AND ROCKET SCHOOL MANAGEMENT, LLC D/B/A ROCS) EACH AGREE THAT ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THESE TERMS, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US, OR OUR EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AND PRODUCTS WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING ARBITRATION OR IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BILLING DISPUTES AND THRESHOLD QUESTIONS OF ARBITRABILITY, EXCEPT THAT EITHER PARTY MAY SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF IN A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INFRINGEMENT OR MISUSE.
Arbitration proceedings may be initiated by either party by sending a written request to our registered agent. All disputes will be arbitrated by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Claims under $75,000 will be governed by the AAA Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes. Claims over $75,000 will be governed by the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules. AAA rules are available at www.adr.org. If you cannot afford AAA fees and cannot obtain a waiver, ROCS will cover those fees provided you complied with the Informal Dispute Resolution Process.
ALL PROCEEDINGS, WHETHER IN ARBITRATION OR COURT, WILL BE CONDUCTED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY. NEITHER YOU NOR ROCS MAY BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR PROCEEDING.
BY AGREEING TO THESE TERMS, YOU AND ROCS WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JUDGE OR JURY. ALL DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN THESE TERMS.
Either party retains the right to bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes that fall within that court's jurisdiction, provided the action remains in small claims court and is not transferred, removed, or appealed to a different court.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Arbitration may be conducted by telephone, videoconference, written submission, or in person at a location reasonably convenient to you within the United States, as agreed upon by the parties.
ROCS reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to our website or services at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms and Conditions, applicable law, or the policies of our partner school districts. Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kansas, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Kansas.
