ROCS operates tuition-free, accredited online public schools across multiple states in partnership with local school districts. • Enroll and support students across all states where ROCS operates.
• Provide and manage educational services through our online platforms including Acellus (Learning Management System), PowerSchool (Student Information System), and Google Workspace for Education.
• Send important school communications including enrollment updates, academic progress notifications, school calendar alerts, and emergency notices via email and SMS text messaging.
• Respond to inquiries submitted through our website, contact forms, or mobile messaging programs.
• Improve our services and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Maintain the safety and security of our platforms and the students we serve.

3. Mobile Messaging (SMS/Text) — A2P Compliance

ROCS operates an Application-to-Person (A2P) mobile messaging program to communicate important school information to enrolled families. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to our messaging program, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from ROCS.

Our mobile messaging program is used to send:

• Enrollment confirmations and onboarding updates.
• School calendar reminders and schedule changes.
• Academic progress alerts and teacher communications.
• Emergency and safety notifications.
• General school announcements and program updates.

Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any text message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.

To opt back in: Reply START to resume receiving messages.

Our mobile messaging program is powered by Twilio and SMS Magic. Neither ROCS nor our messaging service providers will sell, share, or use your mobile phone number for any purpose other than delivering the communications described above. Opting out of mobile messaging will not affect your enrollment status or access to educational services.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information under any circumstances. Your privacy and trust are fundamental to our mission as an educational institution.

We limit data sharing strictly to what is necessary to provide our educational services. We share information only with the following categories of service providers under written agreements that prohibit them from using your information for any purpose beyond the services they provide to ROCS:

• Google Workspace for Education — email, collaboration, and productivity tools.
• Acellus — Learning Management System (LMS) and curriculum delivery.
• PowerSchool — Student Information System (SIS).
• GoGuardian — online safety, content filtering, and device monitoring.
• Twilio and SMS Magic — mobile messaging and A2P SMS communications.
• Freshdesk — customer service and family support communications.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or government authority, or when necessary to protect the safety of students, staff, or the public.

Important: We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for their commercial or marketing purposes.

5. Data Protection and Security

The security of your information is a top priority. We implement industry-standard safeguards including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Role-based access controls and multi-factor authentication.
